About Lila
Late Night Wine Woodworking was officially founded in October 2025, but my passion for building things started long before that. Often spending my time as a kid making presents for friends and family, or building contraptions for school science projects, I loved tinkering away in the basement with my dad and grandpa. It was there that I first learned to use power tools and started to see the possibilities of what I could create with my own hands.

Fast forward a few years and I found myself with a mechanical engineering degree (surprise, surprise). In college, I took a furniture making class with a wonderful teacher, Chris Dewart, and had my first experience making a 'real' piece of furniture. That TV stand (pictured above!) is still proudly part of my home and I hope to keep it with me for decades to come. Building it was my first experience with wood bending as well, a process that continues to challenge me and teach me so much about the nature of wood and how it can be manipulated into unexpected shapes.

Now, I am fortunate to have my own shop space where I can continue to explore and grow. I love to let my mind wander and think of fun, unusual ways that wood can be used in daily objects, then work backwards to sort out how to actually create that thing. There are countless seasoned woodworkers out there who have graciously shared their knowledge through social media, magazines, and online tutorials, and I can only hope to learn as much from them as I possibly can. Thank you for being here, I can't overexaggerate how much your support means to me!
